NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS:

THRAX vs. THRAX

with Cessaro and Grimm

This will be  a fascinating show with a tube amp versus a solid-state. Of course, such a comparison never quite holds up. There are numerous factors that affect the result.

But such a comparison does provide a nice reason to consider the integrated tube amplifier ENYO Mk2 and the solid-state ARES Mk2 from THRAX to be listened to side by side. Both are modular in construction and fall within the same price range.

The solid-state Ares is fully mono built and has a Class A driver, including high-quality MM and MC phono inputs and output power of120watt.

The tubes Enyo has a balanced single ended triode liquidity with zero global feedback and the same high-quality MM and MC phono input with 50watt output power.  Both can be equipped with a super DAC as an option.

As a speaker, we close  we the OPUS 1 to. A unique horn speaker from CESSARO. This brand is new to us and Ralph, their designer, has built, in our opinion, the most beautiful horn loudspeaker we have ever heard. The price is 39,000 euros per pair. Is easy to place and can be driven by a 20-watt tube amplifier with ease.

So, that's a statement..., but we're going to let you hear it.

As a front end, we use the MU2 streamer + DAC from our friends at GRIMM. A wonderful product that surprised us. Bravo!!! Price/performance: five stars!

Put your ears to the test and reserve a spot for one of our shows and judge for yourself what you prefer.

We look forward to seeing you!
