TIPPIN' THE SCALES
Jackie McClean is one of our all time favorite saxophonists. Why? His signature sound, captivating solos and adventurous melodies. And he was definitely one of the tastemakers in the era of hard bebop, modal jazz and avant garde.
With "Tippin' the scales," he returned after some adventures in the cool jazz and free jazz back to the bebop. What resulted is a relaxed and sparkling album where the joy for playing together shines through.
SURROUND SOUND
Among other things, we are going to let you hear tracks from this album on one of the most revolutionary and mesmerizing speakers of the moment: the 101 E MKII - omnidirectional speaker from MBL. This is their flagship speaker with unique technology that results in the best three-dimensional soundstage known. Many renowned reviewers have MBL speakers in their top list for "product of the year. And we can assure you, that's not for nothing.
We are going to connect these speakers to the exceptional solid state amplifiers from the Swiss company CH PRECISION. We play this time with the mono-switched 1.5 amp.
Even more listening pleasure is provided by the DÖHMANN Helix One MK2 turntable. And in addition, the absolute finest streamer we've ever had here: the PINK FAUN 2.6 Ultra.
We let you hear MBL's small 126 monitor with the MARK LEVINSON pre and power stage and the AURALIC streamer.
Insane all huh, so much beauty. These are high-end products that make our hearts beat faster. Innovation that leads to the ultimate music experience.
Come enjoy, on Nov. 26 we are going to give you this state of the art top sets to be heard. We can't wait!
