Jan. 23: A Sunday Morning Music Experience

It is Sunday, Jan. 17, 6 a.m. and I am listening to music. The world is still wonderfully quiet and winter has begun outside. In the listening room where I walk around with a cappuccino in my hand, there is a set that is not consciously put together, no, just something plugged in so I can listen to music. Because for me, it's primarily about the music.

But why this newsletter? Because this randomly assembled set sounds so insanely good and I'd like to share that with you! I start this morning with nothing less than David Bowie's Blackstar on vinyl and after a few seconds I am completely gone. Wow! What an artist and artist this man is to his last breath. After Bowie, I spin Brad Melhdau's solo piano concertos and enter a trance. I get hungry and one LP after another goes on the turntable. Switching from Miles Davis to Pink Floyd, whatever I spin, I get sucked so directly into the music and it amazes me every time I look at the set that is playing.

No, it is not a cheap set, but certainly not the price range of all the top sets we have presented in recent years, but the same experience. So I would like to invite you to come and listen to this set this Saturday, with the music I played that morning. I will of course tell you what this set consists of;

  • TechDas AirForce III turntable
  • Graham Elite arm
  • TechDas element
  • Constellation Spirit pre- and power amplifiers
  • TAD Compact Evolution One Speakers

The cabling consists of a mix of AudioQuest, Shunyata, and MIT. And you can already feel it coming, we will be playing exclusively vinyl this day! Of course, coffee will also be available for you this day.

Musical Greetings,

Harry (and, of course, Michael)
