In the series of memorable albums themed for our listening shows, John Coltrane's magnum opus: A Love Supreme. In the four-movement suite, message and music merge in an ultimate hymn of praise to God, Coltrane's muse.
The inner call and need John Coltrane felt is palpable, and he knows how to take you along on his musical pilgrimage. Or as Laurens Leurs of DaMusic.be puts it, "When - A Love Supreme - gets a hold of you, it never lets go.
Musically as captivating as his message. And of enormous influence and inspiration to music lovers and musicians. A milestone in jazz in its own right.
THE SET
The speakers of Zellaton, the German high-tech manufacturer, amaze critics, reviewers and listeners with their realistic and natural music reproduction. No wonder the Zellaton Plural is our best-selling high-end speaker. This speaker exceeds everything you would expect from a high-end speaker. The Plural is the youngest member and with its 92dB sensitivity an out-and-out combination with tube amps.
For this show, we hook them up to the finest solid-state amplifier we've ever heard: the 10 series from CH Precision. We've had them in our home for about six months now, and every time we plug them in, we marvel. We also plug in their superior C1.5 CD player and DAC, as well as the GRIMM MU1 as a music source.
Of course, we also play with the necessary analog tastes of the finest turntable we know, the Döhmann Helix One MK2 and the Metaxas tape recorder. Finished with Schnerzinger field elimination.
All in all, an ode to òn our muse: music pur sang!
Reserve a spot and we'll be ready with the Gooi's best coffee and gourmet music.
