Big news is that Audio Research is coming out with an entry-level line and we at Rhapsody have the scoop! We are going to see their new integrated amplifier the I/50 (6250 euros) to be heard. With that mesmerizing Audio Research sound and built by the same people as the Reference-line. Pure, clean and with a focus on sound reproduction.
The amplifier's modular design means that a phono stage and a DAC can be added (these will be on the market next year). Available in six colors and with an optional tube cage. The I/50 is the first product completely built in their Minnesota factory. Even the ceramic top plate is coated in-house.
And, as with all Audio Research products, each must pass the listening test of their design engineer and aural evaluator Warren Gehl before they are allowed to be delivered.
