Zellaton speakers
The legendary speaker
For more than 85 years, ZELLATON has been the benchmark for lifelike music reproduction.
Worldwide we use unique hard foam membranes in three layers, which are individually manufactured in the most elaborate manual work. The entire manufacturing process is comparable with the production of a very high-quality musical instrument and the lengthy procedure of tuning the instrument perfectly. Every loudspeaker is therefore absolutely unique!
Handmade in Germany.
Rhapsody over Zellaton
For over 40 years I (Harry) have been active in high-end audio and have been at the cradle of groundbreaking speakers, such as: Infiniti QLS, Quad ESL 63, Wilson Watt Puppy, Magico Q7, Avalon Eidolon, et al. Products that were ahead of their time technically but especially musically. I was not only able to listen to these top designs, but lived with them and got to know and experience them in all kinds of settings and combinations.
Among other things, we have the ZelLaton Stage in the house and every time I plug it in I am completely overwhelmed. In my opinion, we have a legend in the making here. Jim Hannon from The Absolute Sound says it nicely: The Zellaton Stage is the most transparent, uncolored full-range loudspeaker I have heard. Indeed, it doesn't just clean the window looking onto the soundstage; it seems to remove the glass itself, banishing the veils between listener and performer!
Harry and Michael are the face and driving forces behind RHAPSODY
Both have gained much knowledge as sound directors of classical and jazz recordings. This experience is still of great influence on the finishing and composition - the 'tuning' - of a high-end set. And of absolute importance in giving customers the right advice.
Rhapsody is no ordinary store but a vibrant meeting place where music and audio lovers feel at home. Rhapsody also has a knack for unusual products and spotting relevant innovations in the high-end world.
