MY POINT OF VIEW (1963) - Herbie Hancock
As a 23-year-old pianist, if you want to make your musical ambition and direction known after a very successful first album, it says 'My Point Of View' as a title enough.
Herbie Hancock clearly presents himself on this album as a composer, pianist, arranger and orchestra leader. And knows how to get the best out of compositions and musicians. His distinctive soul jazz also makes itself heard again emphatically. This album was released in 1963. The same year he was asked to join the (new) Miles Davis quintet. Such a quick entrance into the world of jazz greats is not for many musicians.
Listen to this album and you'll understand why.
Blumenhofer Acoustics Corona 2 x 220
You don't hear a big horn-sounding speaker anytime soon at Rhapsody. But sometimes you have to step over your own ideas to be surprised. And we're going to let you hear that surprise with the Blumenhover Acoustics Corona 2×220 (€28,900 per set). With an efficiency of 96 dB, it forms a super-combination with Trafomatic's Rhapsody tube amplifier.
We are also going to connect a turntable and DAC to that. Which one? That's another surprise.
We could tell a lot more about it but just come along and enjoy these musical fireworks with us.
The shows are this time - free walk-in - so stop by and we'll be ready with the best coffee in the Gooi (BOOT) and music for true foodies. What more could you want?
With musical regards: Michael, Harry & Siem
